Police have released CCTV footage of three people they think are potentially key witnesses, after the sexual assault of a teenager in the city centre earlier this month.

The 17 year old victim was targeted on the evening of November 9 in the area of Call Lane.

Umar Asghar, 34 and of Retford Place in Bradford, has been charged with two offences of rape, and offence of kidnap and an offence of false imprisonment in connection with the incident.

Detective Inspector Hannah Dixon, West Yorkshire Police, said:

“We believe these people can assist our investigation and we are keen to speak with them.

“While a man has been charged and remanded into custody in relation to this matter, we are urging them to come forward as soon as possible.

“Anyone else who was in the Call Lane area at the time who saw anything suspicious is also asked to get in touch with the team.”
