Police launch witness appeal following serious house fire in Leeds

There was a major emergency response from police and firefighters

West Yorkshire Police have launched an appeal for witnesses and information following a house fire in Leeds.

Officers were first alerted to a property on Sholebrooke Place at 12:38pm on Saturday afternoon (September 28th) following reports of a house fire.

There was a major response from emergency services, including firefighters, police and ambulance services.

All people in the house were safely evacuated from the blaze, with other residents from neighbouring houses being told to temporarily leave their homes.

Investigations into the blaze are now taking place, with fire investigators working alongside Leeds District Criminal Investigation Department.

Police are now asking for those who were in the area at the time the blaze broke out to get in touch with the force as they carry out enquiries.
