Bradford Interchange bus station partially reopens to passengers
It'll fully re-open early next year - a year after being closed for safety reasons
Bradford Interchange bus station has partially reopened today, months after being closed for safety reasons.
The lower concourse was opened up to passengers at around midday today, as part of a phased reopening of the wider bus station.
The transport hub was first shut in January for safety reasons after a concrete block fell from the ceiling in the basement.
Since then several structural surveys have been undertaken, finding the structure could safely reopen with certain mitigation measures in place.
West Yorkshire Combined Authority has set a target of January 5 for the full reopening of the bus station.
