Bus driver arrested on suspicion of drug driving after Leeds Headrow crash

A Leeds bus driver has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving, after a crash on the Headrow which left a woman seriously injured.

Police were called at around 1:30pm yesterday (March 23) to reports of a pedestrian being hit on the key Leeds city centre route.

The woman in her 40s was taken to hospital.

The bus driver, aged 46, was arrested at the scene of suspicion of drug driving and has since been released under investigation.
