Police release CCTV footage after elderly man assaulted in Halifax

West Yorkshire Police have released images of a man they want to speak to after an elderly man was seriously assaulted last month.

Officers were first called to reports of an incident on Dispensary Walk in Halifax town centre at around 11:35 a.m. on Thursday, April 18th.

When responders arrived on the scene, they found the elderly man with serious injuries to his head.

After initial enquiries, it was discovered that the man had been walking down the road from the direction of Church Street, when an unknown male had come up to him.

The incident took place on Dispensary Walk in Halifax.

Since the incident, West Yorkshire Police have been working to find the man that carried out the attack and are now appealing for information from the public.

Images of a man have been released by West Yorkshire Police, and show a man in navy skinny jeans, a plaid shirt, a blue coat and a pair of trainers.

Anyone who may have seen the man in question is being urged to get in touch with the force as soon as possible.

Those who may be able to recognise the man in the CCTV footage can get in touch with the police by calling 101 and quoting incident reference number 13240207001.
