A man who died after a stabbing in Bradford has been named as 23 year old Luqman Ishfaq.

He passed away in hospital after being seriously injured on Barlow Street at around 22:30pm on Monday (October 21).

Prior to the attack, Mr Ishfaq had been travelling in a car in the Barkerend Road area which was involved in an incident of violent disorder.

Four men, including Mr Ishfaq, ran out of the VW Golf and were chased by another group of men; some of whom were armed with weapons.

He was then beaten and stabbed on Barlow Street.

Several scenes remain in place today, including on Back Heath Terrace, Upper Rushton Road, Barlow Street, Barkerend Road, Harewood Street and Gladstone Street.

In a tribute, the family of Luqman Ishfaq said: "Luqman was a much-loved son, brother and friend to so many."

“He was a kind-hearted and loyal man, and the pain we feel from this loss is immeasurable.

“As a family we are all truly devastated that he has been so cruelly taken from us.”
