Bradford man jailed for more than 11 years after nearly £1m of Class A drugs discovered
Officers found nearly 9 kilos of Class A drugs during a raid on his home
A Bradford man has been jailed for more than 11 years after police discovered nearly £1m worth of Class A drugs at his home.
26 year old Ifsar Gulzar, of Durkhill Road, was arrested after a raid on February 26 this year.
Officers recovered 9kg of Class A drugs, as well as £35,000 in cash.
Gulzar was sentenced to 11 years and 10 months in prison at Bradford Crown Court after admitting to three counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
Detective Inspector Helen Chapman, of West Yorkshire Police, said:
“We welcome the lengthy sentence handed down to Gulzar, he had a significant role in fuelling streets across Bradford with drugs.
“This operation shows our commitment to tackling serious and organised crime across the district.
“My team have taken a significant amount of drugs off the streets which will make our communities safer.
“We regularly see the harm that Class A drugs cause both to the induvial users and to our communities where they fuel crime and anti-social behaviour that impacts on ordinary people’s lives.
“We hope this significant prison sentence will serve to reassure the community and send a very clear message to those who think they can get away with profiting from this criminal trade.”
