Two people charged with attempted murder in Folkestone

Two people have been charged with attempted murder following a report of a serious assault in Folkestone.

Kent Police attended the scene on Friday just before 11am.

A man in his 50s sustained serious injuries, including one consistent with a stab wound. He was taken to a London hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

73 year old Abdul Gunes, of The Leas, Folkestone and 45 year old Necdet Gunes, of Windmill Close, Folkestone, were charged with attempted murder.

Both men were remanded in custody to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
