The family of a man who died after being hit by a car in Cambridgeshire have paid tribute to him.

52-year-old Stephen Chamberlain was the co-defendant in the US trial of missing technology tycoon Mike Lynch.

His family have described him as "a much-loved husband, father, son, brother and friend" following his death.

Chamberlain was hit by a car while out running in Stretham on Saturday.

In a statement released the family paid tribute to Chamberlain, saying: "Steve was a much-loved husband, father, son, brother and friend.

"He was an amazing individual whose only goal in life was to help others in any way possible.

"He made a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

"He will be deeply missed but forever in the hearts of his loved ones."

An appeal for witnesses is underway after the collision on the A1123 Newmarket Road.

The search is continuing off the coast of Italy, for six people, after a superyacht owned by Mike Lynch, sank in bad weather.

Morgan Stanley banking boss Jonathan Bloomer and Clifford Chance lawyer Chris Morvillo are among those missing.
