Train passengers are facing major disruption in parts of England and Wales, as flooding and wet and windy weather cause travel problems.

Rail lines between Swindon and Bristol Parkway have been closed because of flooding.

It means services between London Paddington and South Wales are being diverted, adding extra time to journeys for anyone trying to get to places like Cardiff and Swansea.

The issues are having a knock on further down the Great Western Main Line.

Lengthy delays are being shown by trains towards the South West and Wales at Reading and London Paddington stations.

There are also similar issues for anyone travel between London, the Thames Valley and Devon and Cornwall.

A second issue's also causing problems for people trying to get to and from the capital from Bristol and Bath.

A tree's fallen down between the stations, so anyone trying to travel is being warned to expect delays and cancellations.

These updates have been posted on social media.

Network Rail's issued this advice for the rest of the day.

Flood warnings remain in place in a number of areas in England and Wales, with river levels very high in some places.

As the weekend comes to an end, a cold weather alert will be in place with a 70% probability of severe cold weather, icy conditions or heavy snow between 6pm on Sunday and 9am on Thursday in parts of England.
