Hessle stabbing: Five teenagers arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder

Detectives investigating the stabbing of a teenager near Hull have arrested five teenagers on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

They're being questioned after a 13 year old girl suffered life-threatening injuries in Hessle in November.

She was later released from hospital.

A 14-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article and has been remanded into custody to appear at Hull Crown Court on Monday 3rd March.

Detective Superintendent Simon Vickers from Humberside Police said:

“Over the course of the last two months we have been conducting extensive lines of investigation.

“I can confirm today (Wednesday 22 January) we have further arrested five teenagers, three teenage boys aged 15, 16 and 17-years-old, and two girls, 14 and 15-years-old on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

“The 15-year-old girl has also been arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article alongside the 17-year-old boy who has been arrested on suspicion of possession of class B drugs.

“All five teenagers remain in our custody being questioned by detectives at this time.
