The grandfather of one of the three girls killed in last week's knife attack in Southport has paid tribute to her.

Six-year-old Bebe King was the youngest of the girls who were fatally stabbed at a dance class.

Her grandad, Michael Weston King has described her as 'such a sweet happy little thing' - whilst thanking people for their messages of love and support.

Bebe, seven-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe, and nine-year-old Alice Dasilva Aguiar, died after a mass stabbing at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class at the Hart Space on Monday July 29.

Eight other children suffered knife wounds - with five of them left in a critical condition - while two adults were also critically hurt.

Since the attack, thousands of people have come out in solidarity, showing their support for the victims and their families, holding vigils and leaving tributes at the scene.

18-year-old Axel Rudakubana from Lancashire is charged with three counts of murder, 10 counts of attempted murder and possession of a bladed article. He was 17 at the time of the attack, and is due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court again in October.
