Jack Nunn is living out every young footballer's dream

A young man from Bristol is living out a footballing dream, after being plucked from the West Country's minor leagues, to sign for one of Italy's biggest clubs.

Jack Nunn was a regular at Mangotsfield United having broken into their first team aged 16, but has now joined Serie A side Cagliari, who play in the Italian equivalent of the Premier League.

In a statement Mangotsfield say while it is "obviously a huge loss" for them, they couldn't be happier for Jack.

"Jack joined Mangotsfield United youth setup at age 7 and throughout his development through the age groups grew and continued to show great promise, both for Mangotsfield United and Bristol Inner City (BIC), who he joined at 8," a statement from Mangotsfield reads.

"Moving out of the youth set up, Jack joined SGS college and signed for Mangotsfield United 1st team, over the next two seasons, he would become a regular and was part of the two sides that won both the League Cup and the County Cup.

"He also represented England Colleges and it was at a competition in Italy for this side Jack was approached by the Italian professional side."

Mangotsfield say Jack will begin his career at Cagliari with their under 20s, with the aim of breaking into their first team over the next couple of seasons.

"I am sure you’ll all join us as we wish him all the very best in his future career and thank him for his loyalty, dedication and service to Mangotsfield United," a spokesperson for Mangotsfield said.
