Five men arrested after man suffers stab wounds in Stockton-on-Tees

Five men have been arrested in Stockton-on-Tees after a man was left with stabbing injuries in the town.

Cleveland Police confirmed that they were alerted to the incident in the Yarm Lane area just before 1am on Saturday (November 16th).

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man who had been stabbed in the leg and requiring medical treatment.

The victim was soon taken to hospital for his injuries, where he currently remains; his condition is not yet known.

Investigations into the attack were launched shortly afterwards, and officers were able to arrest five men that had been near to the scene of the crime.

All five men were arrested on suspicion of assault and all currently remain in police custody as investigators carry out their enquiries.

Anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the stabbing, or anyone has any CCTV footage, is being urged to get in touch with Cleveland Police as quickly as possible.
