Yellow weather warning for ice across parts of Suffolk

We're being warned to be careful on the roads across Suffolk over the next 24 hours with a yellow weather warning for ice coming into force tonight.
The Met Office says we should expect freezing conditions from 6pm tonight (January 17) until 10am tomorrow morning.
The warning covers most of the south and east of county, including Ipswich, parts of Mid Suffolk and the Suffolk coastline up to Lowestoft.
Suffolk County Council will have gritters out on the major routes across the area, although smaller countryside routes are likely to remain untreated.
Suffolk's Fire and Rescue Service has issued a renewed appeal for people to stay away from icy lakes and ponds, with a warning to never walk on frozen water.
The Met Office has warned that "snow showers and icy stretches may bring some disruption" and could lead to longer journeys for drivers and train passengers.
It says treacherous conditions could also lead to slips and falls on icy surfaces, and urged drivers and cyclists to beware of icy patches on untreated roads.
