West Suffolk NHS staff member leaves hospital after Covid battle
Family and colleagues gathered to see him leave hospital.
West Suffolk NHS Trust has confirmed one of their members of staff who's been battling Covid-19 for 10 weeks, has finally been able to leave hospital.
The Trust has tweeted to say Derek's been discharged.
Derek said: "I never thought this day would come. Thank you to all the staff who took care of me."
His colleagues and family were there to greet him.
