A suspect in the murder of a 17 year old girl in East Suffolk 24 years ago has been re-arrested.

It follows the unsolved killing of Victoria Hall from Trimley St Mary in September 1999.

Suffolk Police say the man is the same person they questioned over Victoria's murder in July 2021.

He has been released under investigation after being taken into custody once again yesterday (December 6)

Victoria Hall went for a night out with a friend at the Bandbox nightclub in Bent Hill, Felixstowe, on 18th September 1999.

They remained until around 1am the following morning, when they then got some food at the Bodrum Grill in Undercliff Road West and began walking back to Trimley St Mary.

They separated at around 2.20am near to the junction of High Road and Faulkeners Way, just yards away from Victoria's home.

Five days later, her naked body was found in a ditch beside a field on Creeting Lane in Creeting St Peter.

It quickly become one of the largest cases Suffolk Police have worked on.

The case remained cold for almost two decades before it was re-activated in September 2019, after the force received new information.

Since then officers have worked through dozens of calls and messages from members of the public and examined 3,000 pieces of potential evidence.
