Suffolk Trading Standards urges man to give himself up for sentencing after £765,000 fraud
Wayne Parker, of Mildenhall, was found guilty last year but failed to turn up to court for sentencing
A Mildenhall man who was convicted of fraud totalling around £765,000 is being urged to give himself up for sentencing, after failing to appear in court.
31 year old Wayne Parker was found guilty last October of obtaining hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of credit from suppliers and making no attempt to settle his debts.
He claimed to be a livestock owner, something which enabled him to access to a large of credit with several different companies.
He has been on the run since February after failing to appear in court to hear his sentence being handed down.
Suffolk Trading Standards says he is know to have links in west London, but also worked across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Surrey.
He may also be in Wales or Somerset and is known to be using the Match.com dating website.
It's thought he's using hired cars in a bid to avoid being caught by police.
Graham Crisp, Head of Suffolk Trading Standards, said:
“Mr Parker has repeatedly said he would return to Suffolk to face the consequences of his actions but, so far, he has failed to do so.
“He knows it is only a matter of time before the law catches up with him and we would strongly urge him to hand himself in sooner rather than later.
“In the meantime, we would ask anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts to contact us.”
