Villagers team up to save Post Office in rural Suffolk
The service in Hoxne has been open nearly 150 years
A campaign has been launched to save a Post Office in rural Suffolk, as the current postmaster wants to retire.
The service in Hoxne has been open nearly 150 years.
Now, villagers are trying to raise cash to keep the service and village shop open.
So far, a Just Giving page has raised more than £3000 of a £4000 goal.
Hundreds of people attended a recent meeting to come up with ideas to save the village landmark.
One option locals are currently looking at is taking it over as a community project.
