Two men currently serving as members of the Suffolk Constabulary have appeared in court over communications offences.

Both William Brazer, aged 21 of Sudbury, and Mahfuj Motlib, aged 29 of Ipswich, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday (February 16th) in connection with the charges.

The two men are charged with malicious communications via a telephone call conveying a threat.

Both men work for the Suffolk Constabulary and currently remain on the force.

However, Brazer faces an additional charge of unauthorised access of a computer and knowingly or recklessly obtaining personal data.

Both Brazer and Motlib are ranked as Police Constables in the police force and currently still serve in the community, under restricted powers until the result of both cases has been decided.

Neither of the accused pleaded guilty at the hearing, and both men have been released on bail.

But both men are expected to appear at another hearing at the Old Bailey in four weeks on March 15th.
