The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for the Suffolk coast due to higher than usual tides.

They say it'll affect Lowestoft to Bawdsey, including the Blyth, Alde, and Ore estuaries.

It's in place from 7:45am to 9:45am tomorrow morning (Saturday 16th November).

Residents are told to expect minor flooding to coastal roads and footpaths.

In the warning, the Environment Agency say: "Tides are expected to be higher than usual, due to the forecast weather conditions during spring tides.

"We expect to see high water levels in Lake Lothing in Lowestoft as well as high sea levels along the Suffolk Coast, impacting on beach access points.

"We are in a period of high springs, which lasts until 20th November.

"Take care on coastal roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger - we are monitoring the situation and not expecting the situation to escalate."
