A Suffolk care home has been placed into special measures after inspectors found some residents were being put at 'significant risk'.
The Care Quality Commission rated the Ixworth Dementia Village near Bury St Edmunds as 'inadequate' overall.
Inspectors said it found that people's health, safety and welfare were not managed effectively, and that people's care records were not always accurate.
They added that there was no indication that lessons were learnt when things went wrong.
Concerns were also raised around infection control procedures and people's medicines were not always found to be managed properly.
Inspectors say that staff told them that: "There is not enough food.
"Every week we run out of things like bread and milk."
It was also found that some staff were working at the home without the proper training.
Leaf Care Services, which runs the care home, says it's already made significant improvements ahead of another inspection in six months.
