Teenage boy arrested following reported sexual assault in Hadleigh
Police say the 14 year-old remains in custody
A 14 year-old boy has been arrested following reports of a serious sexual assault in Hadleigh.
Police say the incident took place sometime between 6pm and 10.30pm on Friday 22nd April in an alleyway off Calais Street, near Morrisons.
Officers were told about it over the weekend and arrested a 14 year-old boy on Sunday morning in connection with the alleged offence.
The victim, a teenage girl, is being supported by specialist officers.
Police say their investigation is in the early stages but they would like to hear from anyone who was nearby around the time of the attack, who may have seen something suspicious.
