Lifeboat crews answered calls to rescue a paddleboarder off Felixstowe Pier.

It happened on 24 September, when volunteer crews from the Harwich RNLI lifeboat station received to a distress call.

The call came in at 5:27pm, amidst strong winds which had created rough sea conditions off Felixstowe.

When they reached the scene, the lifeboat crew worked alongside the local Coastguard Rescue Team to look for the paddlebaorder.

They also called in the all-weather lifeboat (ALB) The Duke of Kent for further assistance.

Before the ALB arrived at the scene, the paddleboarder was found safe ashore.

Both lifeboats stood down at 6:35pm and return to the Harwich lifeboat station.
