Two injured after Ipswich house fire

Two people have been injured after a house fire in Ipswich.

Firefighters, police and the ambulance service were called to a two storey, mid-terrace home on Portman Road around 5:20am.

The fire was put out at 7:03am with investigations into the cause of the blaze due to take place.

The East of England Ambulance Service tells us two adults, a man and a woman, have been taken to Ipswich hospital for treatment, having sustained lower limb injuries from jumping from the house.
