Police say they think they've identified a man who was found dead in a field in East Suffolk over the weekend.

Police were called to Snape Road in Friston at 8:50am on Saturday, with the man being pronounced dead at the scene.

They think the man, who is white and in his 60s, was digging for potatoes in the field which had recently been harvested.

Officers say a member of the public has now come forward with important information.

Formal identification is yet to take place but police believe they know who the man is.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.
