Police hunt four men after ram raid at Newmarket bank
A cash machine was stolen from the Nationwide in the early hours of this morning
Police are hunting for four people believed to have been involved in a ram raid on a Newmarket bank early this morning.
A cash machine was ripped out of the wall at the Nationwide branch on the High Street using a JCB forklift at around 4:50am.
Part of the machine was then loaded into a Luton van, which made off in convoy with a Mercedes A Class towards Cambridgeshire.
The JCB was abandoned on the High Street.
Four suspects were seen to be involved. All were wearing balaclavas and dark clothing.
Anyone who was in the Newmarket area around between 4:30am and 5:15am this morning and saw anything suspicious is being urged to contact Suffolk Police on 101.
