Police appeal after man goes missing from Suffolk prison
The 37 year old was last seen at Hollesley Bay yesterday morning
Police have launched an appeal to find a man who has been reported missing from a Suffolk prison.
37 year old Andrew Smith, previously of the Berkshire area, was last seen at HMP Hollesley Bay at around 10am yesterday (September 28).
He is described as being 6ft tall with brown hair and eyes, and is of a stocky build.
He also has short facial hair.
Smith was serving an 18 year sentence for grievous bodily harm.
Anyone who sees him is being urged to contact Suffolk Police on 101.
He is the second prisoner this week to have absconded from Hollesley Bay, a Category D open men's prison on the Suffolk coast.
On Tuesday convicted burglar Roger Simmons failed to return to his cell after day release.
