A Suffolk wildlife park has unveiled its latest arrival; a polar bear which has been rescued from a zoo in Sweden.
Jimmy's Farm, near Wherstead, has taken in Ewa from Orsa Rovdjurspark, a park which closed its doors last November.
The 18 year old bear would have been put down had she not been rescued. Vets at the Suffolk park say they've worked closely with experts to make sure Ewa settles into her new home.
She was originally moved along with her cub Miki, although he sadly died shortly after arrival due to an undiagnosed heart condition.
Ewa is the star attraction in a new area of the park billed as 'The Lost Lands of the Tundra', which the park claims is one of the largest polar bear reserves in Europe.
The area, which includes grasslands as well as lakes and woodland, is meant to mimic the arctic tundra.
It will also be home to other species, including twelve arctic wolves and four reindeer.
Polar bears are considered threatened in the wild due to the loss of their habitat because of climate change.
