Plans submitted for repair work at Stowmarket station
Greater Anglia says the roof of the Grade II listed structure needs fixing
Plans have been submitted for major repair work at the Grade II listed Stowmarket railway station.
Greater Anglia says the roof on the Grade II listed structure, which dates back to the 1840s, will need attention as it currently isn't watertight.
A set of stairs inside the building is also set to be replaced once work on the roof is complete.
It comes as Network Rail is set to replace some of the points at the station next month as part of an upgrade to the track.
Council planners at Mid Suffolk District Council will make a decision on the application at a later date.
