Pedestrian hit by car and seriously injured in Carlton Colville
Police are looking for witnesses after the driver failed to stop

A pedestrian has been left with serious injuries after a crash in Carlton Colville.
It happened at around 1:47am, when a car hit a pedestrian on Castleton Avenue.
The driver of the vehicle, described as a red Toyota Auris, failed to stop at the scene.
The victim, a man in his 20s, is in hospital but his injuries aren't thought to be life threatening.
Officers are looking for witnesses and are also trying to trace the vehicle involved, which they think will have 'obvious damage'.
