Orwell Bridge works on target
MP Tom Hunt has visited teams working there

Work to install new electronic signs and cameras on the Orwell Bridge are on track to be completed on time.
Highways England teams have been working since January to get the structure ready for a new 40pmh speed limit to be implemented and enforced during periods of high winds, to hopefully prevent bridge closures.
On Friday night (19 February) Tom Hunt MP spent time seeing for himself how the work is going.
"Quite a lot of work's going into it, more work than I thought would be necessary because they've got to put down all the cabling along the side of the bridge and there's been one week lost because of the recent bad weather, but they're on track to get it all done by the end of next month, barring anymore bad weather.
"One way or another, the new speed limit will be introduced in the not too distant future, which will hopefully mean we can turn our backs on the constant closures of the Orwell Bridge."
