Brand new beach huts go up for sale in Felixstowe as work on Seashore Village continues
It's part of a major redevelopment of the South Seafront
Several beach huts which are being built as part of a brand new development in Felixstowe have been put up for sale.
They're part of a major revamp of the South Seafront called the 'Seashore Village', meant to help attract more visitors to the Suffolk seaside town.
Work started last year on the redevelopment, which also includes new sports courts and exercise facilities.
New accessible changing rooms and toilets are also being created, including a Changing Places facility.
27 timber huts will be available to buy, with the first just being brought to market.
All are being sold on a long-lease arrangement.
Councillor Toby Hammond, East Suffolk’s cabinet member for Economic Development said:
“The new facilities, combined with the new beach huts, landscaping and activity park all currently under construction at the seafront will create a welcoming space for residents and visitors to enjoy, as well as improving accessibility for all.
"The Seashore Village development is part of exciting wider regeneration work which is underway in Felixstowe.”
