One man's died and another's seriously injured, after a road traffic crash in Bromeswell.

Police were called just after 12:05pm yesterday (Sunday 2 July), to reports of a three-vehicle collision on the A1152 Orford Road, involving a car and two motorbikes.

The vehicles involved were a black Volkswagen T-ROC car, a black Triumph Daytona motorbike and a KTM Super Adventure motorbike.

Police, ambulance crews and an air ambulance were all in attendance to the incident, which occurred between The Unruly Pig pub and Woodbridge Golf Club.

Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, the rider of the Triumph Daytona - a man aged in his 30s - died at the scene.

The rider of the KTM motorbike, a man aged in his 50s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the car was not injured.

The road was closed in both directions, between the Golf Club and School Lane, to allow for a collision investigation to take place. It reopened shortly after 6:50pm.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward, along with anyone driving in the area just prior to the incident who has a dashcam in their vehicle.
