Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna says his squad is in a "good place" ahead of tonight's clash at home to Accrington Stanley.

However, a number of players include left-back Leif Davis have picked up knocks following the Tractor Boys' dominant 4 - nil win over Burton at the weekend.

Ipswich Town sit 3rd in League One, with their opponents tonight sitting in 20th.

Speaking to the ITFC website ahead of the game, manager McKenna said: "Leif is one who picked up a knock and is still a little bit sore. We’ve got a few others in that boat. It was quite an intense game. That showed in the numbers; that the boys worked really hard."

"A small group trained today and the rest of the boys are still recovering. At this stage of the season, it’s about freshness and recovering as quickly as possible. We’re trying to make sure everyone is available for Tuesday night.

"We’ve got another game to look forward to so we’ve been focusing on recovery. Of course, there’s still been a few bits to do on the grass and we’ve looked at some video on things we can improve on from Saturday, too.

"The boys are training really well whether they’re in the team or in the squad.

"We’re in a good place in terms of the squad. It’ll be about finding that balance between the level of consistency, rhythm and momentum in the games, and freshening up in some key positions when we think we need to over the next few games to make sure everyone stays fit, well and ready to perform."
