The Health Secretary has had his first coronavirus vaccine today (29 April)

West Suffolk MP, Matt Hancock, received the Oxford AstraZenica injection at the Science Museum in London earlier.

Mr Hancock has thanked Professor Jonathan Van-Tam for giving him the jab, saying he was 'in and out in 8 minutes'.

He's described the injection as quick and painless, adding he 'feels great'.

The Health Secretary said:

"When I got the call, I got the jab"

He's calling on everyone to accept their invitation to have their covid-19 vaccine when they're invited.

Earlier this week, the programme was opened up to 42-year-olds in England.
