Man jailed for two and a half years after Ipswich burglary
Around ÂŁ1,300 worth of power tools were taken
A man has been jailed for over two and a half years after a burglary in Ipswich.
57 year old Clifford Graham, of no fixed address, admitted to breaking into an address on Anglesea Road on April 18.
Around ÂŁ1,300 worth of power tools were taken. Graham was linked to the scene via CCTV footage and phone evidence.
A 56 year old accomplice admitted to handling stolen goods and was handed a suspended sentenced in April.
Investigating officer DC Jared Fortune, of Suffolk Constabulary, said:
“The detectives of Ipswich CID gave no quarter in pursuing every line of enquiry to ensure that Graham had no other option than to plead guilty to this offence."
"I particularly commend the work of PC Aimee Berry for rigorously obtaining key CCTV footage and also for identifying Graham's co-defendant which yielded the discovery of the stolen power tools, now returned safely to the victim.
"After years of habitually committing burglaries, perhaps this time Mr Graham will learn his lesson.”
