Man charged with false imprisonment and sexual offences in Ipswich

A man has been arrested and charged with sexual offences and false imprisonment in Ipswich.

20 year old Dekan Saed, of no fixed address, was arrested after a woman reported being raped in a flat on Portman Road.

Police were called at around 8:30am on November 13. The victim, in her 20s, is being supported by specialist officers.

Saed is charged with eight offences, including six counts of rape, one of sexual touching and one of false imprisonment.

He appeared before Ipswich Magistrates' today (November 17) - he's been remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at Ipswich Crown Court on December 15.
