A Lowestoft man's been handed a 46 month prison sentence for offences including breaking a man's jaw during an assault.

24 year old Nathaniel Baldry, of St John's Road, admitted to GBH as well as possessing criminal property and being concerned in the supply of a controlled Class B drug.

He was arrested by officers on 16 November during a raid on his home. He was found to have several mobile phones and a large amount of cash, including £30,000 concealed in a rucksack in a wardrobe.

Baldry was also questioned in connection with a fight in Bristol on February 2022 during which a man was knocked to the ground and kicked in the head by Baldry.

Following the sentencing Detective Inspector Craig Brett said: “Baldry has been shown to be a violent individual who thinks nothing of seriously hurting another human being who is laid defenceless on the floor.

“While this offence did not occur in Suffolk, it is pleasing to know such a man has been given a custodial sentence.

“His criminal intentions can be seen from the results of the warrant executed at his property in Suffolk.

“Baldry was not able to prove that he had amassed such a large amount of cash by any legal means; it is clear as well as being a violent person he has been profiting from his criminal activity.

“I would like to thank all the officers involved in this investigation, in particular those from the East Sentinel team, their hard work has ensured a dangerous individual is now behind bars.”
