A Leiston woman is due in court charged with fraud, after allegedly embezzling around £17,000 from a Suffolk playground.

33 year old Gemma Pearse, formerly of Waterloo Avenue, is accused of two counts of fraud against an organisation.

It's alleged that between January 1 2017 and March 17 2022, while acting as treasurer of Knodishall Playgroup, around £17,000 was taken through cash and bank transfers.

Moreover, its alleged accounts filed between 2017 and 2022 were falsfied.
