Two arrests made in Ipswich following serious knife attack
A 16-year-old boy was left with cuts to his shoulder

Police in Suffolk have made two arrests after a 16-year-old boy was attacked with a knife in Ipswich yesterday.
Officers responded to a call that alleged that a male had been assaulted by another male with a large knife on Barrack Lane.
When they reached the scene, officers found the victim with serious cuts to his shoulders. The boy was taken to hospital for treatment, but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
After initial enquiries, police have established the incident happened on Cecil Road just before 1:30 p.m. on Monday (January 31st).
The boy was walking with a friend when they were confronted by a man on a bicycle. The two boys ran from the man. Whilst running, the victim tripped over, where he was stabbed in the shoulder by the man.
Suffolk Constabulary announced that two arrests had been made in connection with the incident.
A 32-year-old from Ipswich was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm, while an 18-year-old man from Ipswich on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and affray.
Police investigating believe that this was not a random attack are looking into the potential for a variety of motives.
As a result of the attack, a Section 60 order was brought into the Ipswich area, allowing police offers more powers to stop and search people on the street.
The order was instated on Monday afternoon and ended today at 3:30 p.m. whilst police try to piece together what happened.
Police are continuing to appeal for information in relation to the incident, with anyone in the area at the time of the attack being urged to get in touch with their local police station.
