Police say a woman has been knocked unconscious by a man whilst out jogging in Elveden.

He then attempted to sexually assault her.

Officers say it happened at some point between 11am and noon on Tuesday 9th November along London Road, known locally as the Old London Road.

The victim was jogging on the footpath when she was approached by a man who hit her on the head before attempting to pull down her leggings.

He then left the area in an unknown direction.

The woman was found unconscious by a member of the public who called an ambulance - she was taken to hospital and later discharged.

The suspect is described as male, approximately 5ft 9ins tall, had brown stubble on his face and he was heard speaking with an English accent.

He was also wearing a black puffer jacket with the hood up and was seen with a bike.

Police say they are in the early stages of an investigation, adding that specialist trained officers are working with the victim.

Detectives want to hear from anyone who was in the London Road area, particularly between the slip road junction with the A11 southbound and the Elveden Road junction, either walking or cycling between 10am and 1pm on Tuesday, or any motorists that drove through with a dashcam fitted to their vehicle.
