Ipswich Town defender Janoi Donacien has been ruled out of Saturday's clash against Leeds United at Portman Road.

He's still struggling with the groin injury he picked up against QPR last week, which forced him off the pitch during the first half.

Cameron Burgess (ankle) and George Hirst (adductor) will be assessed tomorrow.

Speaking to the media ahead of the game, town manager Kieran McKenna said: “Janoi won’t make it for the weekend because of a small groin strain, on top of some other issues he has in that area."

“He’s a possible for Cardiff but won’t be available for tomorrow.

“Cameron Burgess has a little issue with his ankle and George Hirst has an issue with his adductor, so both will have checks in the morning to see if they are available.”

New signing Cameron Burgess is also "ready to be involved", according to McKenna, having trained this week.

“He hasn’t made any competitive first-team starts in 12 months but was fit for most of the second-half of last season and has had a full pre-season, playing and doing well in quite a number of Man United’s pre-season games" the Town boss added.
