Ipswich Town are now 14 unbeaten after a massive 3 - 0 win in an East Anglia derby against Peterborough United over the weekend.

Wes Burns found the net after 17 minutes, with Freddie Ladapo and Conor Chaplin adding two more in the second half.

Town remain 2nd in League One, with Plymouth Argyle and Sheffield Wednesday both also picking up wins over the weekend.

Speaking to the ITFC website post-match, McKenna said: "It was a day for the supporters to enjoy and hopefully they did."

"They were here in great numbers and the support was fantastic. I'd imagine it was one of their most enjoyable games of the season, but for us, at this stage of the season, it's just another three points.

"The performance had a bit of everything, though. We came out on the front foot with real intent and took the game right to them.

"We dominated the early parts and got the goal, and then had to show different sides to our game. A times we did well with the ball and kept possession, and at times we defended high, pressed well, and won the ball back.

"There was spirit and it was a complete performance. The impact of the subs was brilliant as well.

"We can't get too high because we need to be ready to go again on Tuesday, but it was a job very well done."

Off the pitch, a man has been charged with public order offences after a fan was seen spitting at Ipswich Town forward Wes Burns.

It happened as Burns celebrated the opening goal of the game. The 46 year old, from Lincolnshire, has been released on bail.
