Ipswich Town to face Luton Town in pre-season

The Tractor Boys will face Premier League opposition later thie month

Ipswich Town are set to face Premier League opposition in pre-season, with a trip to face Luton Town.

However the match will not be held at Kenilworth Road, as the Tractor Boys are set to head to Colchester's Community Stadium instead.

It's due to major construction work at Portman Road and Luton's home ground.

Town will kick off against the Hatters on July 25 at 7:30pm.

Ipswich started their pre-season campaign last weekend with a 6 - nil twin over Felixstowe and Walton.

Town's pre-season so far:

Saturday, 1 July - Felixstowe & Walton United (A) - W 0-6

Friday, 7 July - Maidenhead United (Needham Market's Bloomfields) - 7.45pm

Wednesday, 19 July - Preston North End (A) - 7pm

Saturday, 22 July - Cambridge United (A) - 12pm

Saturday, 22 July - Stevenage (A) - 3pm

Tuesday, 25 July – Luton Town (Colchester United’s Community Stadium) - 7pm
