Ipswich Town forward Kayden Jackson could miss the rest of the season due to a hamstring injury.

The striker struggled at the weekend against Portsmouth and was forced off the field just before half time.

Samy Morsy was also brought off the field and its still unclear if he'll play against Oxford this weekend.

In better news, Lee Evans is set for a return to training next week.

Bersant Celina is to remain with the Tractor Boys, having decided not to represent Kosovo in international friendlies.

Speaking the Ipswich Town website, boss Kieran McKenna said: "Kayden's going to be out for a significant amount of time."

"It’s very unlikely he’ll play much football before the end of the season.

"It’s disappointing for him and it's a big loss to the group as well. He’s a credit to himself for how he’s applied himself over the last few months.

"Sam Morsy has had a scan. The situation is not much different to what it was going into last week. There’s no significant damage. He’s very keen to be involved in the game but we will have to make the right decision.

"Lee is back out on the grass but won't be available for Saturday. We're hoping that he will be back training with the group from next week."
