Ipswich Town investigating 'thoroughly' after video shows fan falling from Portman Road stand

Ipswich Town Football Club's investigating an incident which saw a Blues fan left injured after an away fan landed on her from above during this weekend's FA Cup match.

Footage of the fall, which happened at Portman Road, and was shared on social media, shows the fan rolling down the roof from the stadium's upper tier, and falling on to the tier below.

It happened during Ipswich's 2-1 loss to Maidstone United.

Ipswich Town told us in a statement:

“The Club is aware of an incident involving a Maidstone United supporter in the Cobbold Stand at Portman Road during today’s Emirates FA Cup fourth-round fixture.

“The Club is investigating the issue thoroughly.”

The club also told us it will ensure those affected are contacted and updated with an outcome.
