Ipswich Town goalkeeper Christian Walton set to return 'in a couple of weeks'
Kieran McKenna has given an injury update on the Town shot-stopper
Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna has revealed goalkeeper Christian Walton could be available to play 'in a couple of weeks', after months out injured.
The shot-stopper has been out since pre-season with a plantar fascia tear but has now returned to training.
Speaking to the ITFC website, McKenna said: "Today was the first time he got involved with the group for some small-sided games."
"That's a big positive, but realistically I think he’s still a couple of weeks away from match action.
“He’ll get a full training week with the group next week, hopefully, and then we’ll assess it from there.”
Defender Janoi Donacien, who's been out with a groin injury since the away win at QPR, has also returned to training.
