A popular pub in Ipswich town centre is set to close after more than 25 years.

The Yates on Tower Street will close its doors for the final time on 2nd September.

It's as its lease has expired and the landlord wants the building, which was previously used as a Wetherspoons, back.

A spokesperson said: "Yates will be closing on 2nd September as our lease has expired and will be returned to the landlord.

"We thank our customers for all their support over the years and encourage them to visit our sister pub in the area, The Plough."
