Ipswich man jailed for drugs offences

An Ipswich man has been jailed after being found guilty of being involved in Class A drug dealing.
26 year old Omar Bartholomew, of no fixed address, will spend three years and four months behind bars after admitting to being concerned in the supply of cocaine and being concerned in the supply of heroin.
He was also charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and possession with intent to supply heroin.
Bartholomew was arrested as part of Operation Orochi - a joint operation with the Met Police to crack down on county-lines drug dealing.
Investigations established that he was using his mobile phone to arrange the supply of Class A drugs in Ipswich.
Investigating officer DC Dave Murphy said:
“This conviction should serve as a reminder for any county lines dealers considering Suffolk as a location for their criminal business, that it will be only a matter of time before the inevitable happens and we secure and charge and conviction against you.”
